Grade 9 students from Lake Country's George Elliot Secondary are inviting the community to get out and educated this Earth Day. 

Through the Climate Action Ripple Effect (CARE) program recently added in School District 23, more than 50 students have been working together to plan the event. 

Local artist Margaret Kyle helped the students worked on art installations to be placed along the walking path behind the high school, and senior biologist with Eco-Scape Environmental Consulting Kyle Hawkes assisted in cleaning the path, removing invasive plants, and planting flowers.

The community is encouraged to come walk the path and check out the art installations with messages about the importance of environmental protection on Earth Day, April 22.
