"We miss you."
That was the sentiment from Ghostly Garlic owner Jennifer McAnulty, who was pleased to be back in Lake Country for the fifth annual Garlic Fest held Aug. 10.
"We really feel the love when we come back here," McAnulty said of the community.
The first two festivals were held on the Ghostly Garlic farm, before expanding and setting up at the Oyama Community Club. McAnulty and her partner Nick Forrester moved to Alberta after the 2022 festival, but have returned every year to host the garlic lovers' event.
McAnulty added that a lot of familiar faces came by the booth on Sunday, stocking up and expressing their love for Ghostly Garlic products.
"Our cup is completely full when we leave here."
The Garlic Fest saw vendors set up both inside and outside the club's hall. Food trucks, kids' activities, and a juggler were also part of the day.
Before heading off to more events, McAnulty and Forrester are taking some much-needed time off with a little vacation in Sorrento.
