The Regional Heritage Fair determines the top three projects that advance to the B.C. Fair in Vancouver the first week of July

Vernon elementary school students put their best project forward.

After advancing from their own school's event, the best projects were nominated to take part in the Regional Heritage Fair Friday, April 25, at Vernon's Schubert Centre.

The projects were on display for guest judges at the event hosted by the North Okanagan Optimist Club.

The top three projects chosen by the judges advance to the B.C. Fair July 1-4 at UBC in Vancouver. A fourth is chosen as an alternate in the event if one of the top three is unable to travel.

Projects were done on anything Canadian, ranging from hockey to flying to bridges to desserts.
