Volunteers with Princeton Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) put their tracking skills to the test earlier this month.
The British Columbia Tracking Association (BCTA) Society held track awareness and tracker courses for students. The training sessions were hosted by Princeton GSAR and saw search and rescue teams from all over B.C. take part.
"BCTA courses are great ways to meet GSAR volunteers from multiple teams," the BCTA Society stated.
Princeton GSAR was joined by team members from Hope, Castlegar, Lions Bay, Central Okanagan and Cowichan. Together, they participated in the courses with the help of instructors from Princeton, Cowichan, Comox and Quesnel teams.
"It was a great weekend full of awesome training," Princeton GSAR stated.
Princeton GSAR participates in various training sessions throughout the year.
