Some of Canada's top ribbers are returning to the Okanagan this summer for the region's largest celebration of barbecue food.
Penticton Ribfest 2025 runs inside Okanagan Lake Park from July 25 to 27. Along with ribs, the event will feature a beer garden, vendors, kids' zone, family-friendly games, and an inaugural softball tournament.
Get ready to dance, too, as four bands are booked to perform at the park's main stage in the evening while ribbers from as far as Ontario serve up their best food.
"Whether youÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™re a BBQ connoisseur, a festival junkie, or just looking for a great time with the family Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥” this is the summer event you donÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™t want to miss," a press release reads.
Event organizers say although more details about the softball tournament are coming soon, teams are encouraged to Ball hockey games are also being scheduled throughout the weekend to go along with the action on the diamond.
Admission is free, however, people can upgrade their experience by either purchasing an all-you-can-eat pass, or a fast-pass wristband for those looking to skip the lines.
Ribbers slated to set up in Okanagan Lake Park include Gator BBQ, Bubba Lou's BBQ, Boss Hog's, Grizzly BBQ and Penticton-based Smoke Dem Bones.
