A local woman who has spent years writing and directing her first full-length film in Fredericton, New Brunswick is bringing it home to premier.
Britany Sparrow, a Kalamalka Secondary grad, has a passion for storytelling that is soon to hit the movie screen.
Still Your Song is the result of her coastal jump to study at the University of New Brunswick.
It shares the same title as the Goo Goo Dolls香蕉视频直播� song, which is about a man singing about a past relationship in which he made mistakes. Though he isn香蕉视频直播檛 seeking forgiveness, the song is still for his past love.
The synopsis is, seven years after their graduation, members of the indie rock band Low Tide are brought back to their hometown to perform for their high school reunion.
"The film was shot in Fredericton, New Brunswick over a six month period in 2023, with a budget of $12,000," said Sparrow. "It has been in post-production for the past 18 months, and now we are excited to finally showcase the film in Vernon, where I grew up."
Still Your Song will be shown Thursday, July 24 at Vernon's Okanagan College at 6 p.m. in room D310. Tickets are $10 cash at the door or etransfer .
A reception and question and answer period will follow at the Vernon Golf and Country Club.
The film was produced by Kayla-Ren茅e Ossachuk with the support of the New Brunswick Filmmakers' Co-operative and the Jane LeBlac Legacy Fund.
