Salmon Arm's annual theatre festival is shaping up to be a TotE-ally incredible event as it continues to grow and explore more local venues.
Celebrating 11 years, Theatre on the Edge (TotE) is a three-day, multi-location festival that focuses on new performances and works in development from local and touring artists. In addition to performances at TotE's home base at Shuswap Threatre, there will also be shows are multiple other downtown venues throughout the June 13 to 15 event.
"TotE is about sharing ideas, encouraging curiosity and celebrating differences," Salmon Arm Arts Centre executive director Christie Watson said in a media release. "We hope that you find yourself at home in some of this year's offerings while exploring new space in others."
This year's lineup consists of eight shows, audience talk backs and community conversations. The weekend will kick off at Song Sparrow Hall with a free reception, Secwépemc Welcome and Stseptékwll: Laughter and Life Lessons From the Land with Kenthen Thomas.
The programming then begins with the "return of festival favourite and musical storyteller" Devon More Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥“ who has performed locally a number of times Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥“ with a reboot or her popular show Berlin Waltz.
