The Wednesday on the Wharf concert series continues to cook through August.
Kicking off the month is international touring act Tennyson King, who returns to Salmon Arm to share his velvety vocals and scintillating sounds at the Marine Peace Park gazebo, starting at 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 6.
Born in Hong Kong, raised in Canada, King is rapidly gathering fans all over the world. Over the past two years he has been living out his passion of travelling and sharing his multilingual music with cultures all over. Known for his jovial personality, King has performed solo in great halls as well as small intimate theatres, captivating the crowd with stories of serendipity and adventure. His music pairs electrifying guitar sounds with silky vocal lines; a style of rock and roll infused with earthy roots and blues, and subtly laced with psychedelic ear candy.
Organized by the Salmon Arm Arts Centre, with support from community sponsors, Wednesday on the Wharf is a by-donation, live music community concert series suitable for the whole family. Residents and visitors alike are invited to bring their lawn chairs and picnic blankets down to Marine Peace Park to take in the evening sunshine and tap their toes to the music.
