The Kelowna RCMP Crime Reduction Unit's (CRU) second special project of the week was another successful one.
Over the course of two days (April 22-23), the CRU targeted drug trafficking in the downtown core. In total, officers arrested 16 individuals for drug-related offences, including one who had a B.C.-wide warrant.
Additionally, officers seized:
- One vehicle impounded,
- Approximately 175 grams of illicit drugs,
- Seven cartons of illicit cigarettes,
- 25 pills,
- Approximately $2500 Canadian currency.

This special project conducted by the CRU is the second a three-day span as officers arrested seven people as well as seized drugs and weapons at a residence near Highway 33 and Dougall Road on Monday, April 21.
