West Kelowna students will head back to class with extra support this year, thanks to a more than $11,000 donation from Kelowna Truck and RV.
The West Kelowna firm handed (1780 Byland Road) over an $11,460 check, as part of its Tools For Schools campaign, to the principals of Constable Neil Bruce (CNB) and Mount Boucherie Secondary (MBSS) schools on Monday (Aug. 18).

CNB principal Brad Kuhn said the support is much-needed and appreciated.
香蕉视频直播淵ou know, a quarter of our community lives on the margins of poverty or in poverty. We have those children and those families that we are supporting in our schools, and we do a really good job, I think, of making that happen. But having those community partnerships to just add that little bit extra is amazing."
West Kelowna is a tight-knit community, added MBSS principal Ryan Mansley.
香蕉视频直播淲henever we get an opportunity to really have a connection between our schools and community sponsors, it just helps to grow that community feel even more,香蕉视频直播 he pointed out.
Jensen said Tools For Schools will be an annual item, adding the company has other community outreach events planned, including sponsorship at the Peachland Fall Fair and a movie night in the community.
