Several residents have written to council and local media outlets urging that the city purchase Kelowna Springs Golf Course.
On Dec. 3 2024, a statement from Mayor Tom Dyas said staff were directed to explore options for acquiring the property at 480 Penno Road to preserve it as a recreational space. This included discussions with the property owner and consideration of continuing its use as a golf course.
