If you live in Traders Cove and have old paint cans, dead batteries, or other hazardous household items piling up, mark your calendar for Saturday, June 14.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Traders Cove Transfer Station will be accepting a wide range of domestic hazardous waste materials, giving residents a safe way to clear out unwanted items.
The event is open only to residents authorized to use the Traders Cove Transfer Station, located at the corner of Westside Road and Bear Lake Main Road.
- Accepted items include:
- Liquid and aerosol paints
- Flammable liquids and aerosols
- Propane tanks
- Household pesticides (must have a poison symbol and PCP number)
- Gasoline (in approved ULC containers only)
- Household and car batteries
- Electronics and computer equipment
- Small appliances, light bulbs, and fixtures
Items that are not acceptable include leaking containers, industrial or commercial waste, and any unapproved items.
