The Midsummer 8K, hosted by the Kelowna Running Club, hits the pavement on Sun., July 13 at Boyce-Gyro Beach.
With over 35 years of history, the race is once again the BC Athletics Championship event for the 8K distance.
Held every year since at least 1988, the Midsummer 8K has become a staple in B.C.'s road racing scene. But this year香蕉视频直播檚 edition is shaping up to be extra special.

Wyatt and fellow race director Janice Bradshaw have spent months getting the race certified to World Athletics standards, a requirement for its championship status. The event is designed for runners of all levels, from seasoned racers to beginners.

All proceeds from the event support the UBCO Track and Field team, coached by local Olympian Malindi Elmore. Elmore, who香蕉视频直播檚 run the race herself, will be on hand to help host the kids' run, cheer on participants and support her team.
