The annual Spirit of Peachland Awards were held on Friday, May 5, celebrating citizens for outstanding achievements in 2024.

Citizen of the Year

Paula McLaughlin. A driving force behind arts and culture in Peachland, McLaughlin is the vice president of the Peachland Community Art Council.

Youth Citizen of the Year

Hailey Craig. Serves as a firefighter with Peachland Fire and Rescue.

Kim Potts. A long-time volunteer at the Peachland Wellness Centre.

Excellence in Sports and Recreation

Mark Wilson, Tristin Ahern, Martin DesLauriers. Recognized for their volunteer efforts with the Peachland Soccer program.

Mayor's Award of Merit

Council's Award of Merit

Peter Schierbeck. A long-time volunteer and former councillor, Schierbeck was honored for contributions to local governance and community development.
