The Central Okanagan School District is clarifying information regarding electric bikes/scooters at elementary and middle schools in the region.
Some parents in the district received an email, last week, stating that e-scooters and e-bikes would no longer be permitted at elementary or middle schools.
However, on June 29, Superintendent of Schools/CEO Kevin Kaardal said that a message that referred to district policy or a 香蕉视频直播渂an香蕉视频直播 on electric bikes/scooters was incorrect.
香蕉视频直播淪afety is always our priority, and we educate students and families to encourage getting to and from school safely,香蕉视频直播 said Kaardal.
Instead, Kaardal said that some School District 23 schools recently reminded parents about the BC Motor Vehicle Act rules on the use of e-bikes and e-scooters.
香蕉视频直播淪ome messages created a false impression that there is a district-wide policy to enforce these rules, and we apologize for any confusion,香蕉视频直播 said Kaardal. 香蕉视频直播淎lthough Central Okanagan Public Schools does not have such a policy, we will continue to work with families and authorities to educate on safety and compliance with provincial laws.香蕉视频直播
