Work on the Bertram Multiuse Overpass will see closures impact a section of Harvey Avenue.
Starting Wednesday, May 7 at 9 p.m. until Thursday, May 8, at 6 a.m. motorists can expect intermittent, overnight traffic impacts on Harvey Ave. between Ellis and Richter streets. Motorists can expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes. Businesses will remain accessible.
Closure Schedule:
- Wednesday, May 7: Westbound lanes closed. Alternating traffic in the eastbound lane;
- Thursday, May 8: Eastbound lanes closed. Alternating traffic in the westbound lane.
The new overpass will link to the larger active transportation network (ATC), connecting the future Bertram Active Transportation Corridor (ATC) within downtown to the existing Sutherland, Abbott, and Ethel ATCs via the Central Green development.
The $12.1 million project is funded by the City of Kelowna, the federal Canada Community Building Fund, and the provincial Growing Communities Fund.
