The District of Lake Country is asking for public input as it works on a plan to help the community deal with the growing risks of climate change.
The Climate Change Adaptation Plan (CCAP) is currently in development. It aims to prepare the community for more frequent extreme weather events like wildfires, flooding, and drought.
The plan will look at both current and future climate impacts, focusing on how they might affect the region香蕉视频直播檚 infrastructure and services. The goal is to build strategies that help Lake Country adapt and respond to climate-related challenges.
To help guide the plan, the district has launched a community survey asking residents about their concerns, personal experiences with climate events, and thoughts on how the community can better prepare for future hazards.
To encourage participation, Lake Country is holding a random prize draw for those who complete the survey. The winner will receive a Deluxe 72-Hour Emergency Kit for two people.
