The Canadian Armed Forces will be moving a substantial number of military vehicles from Edmonton to Calgary between May 15 and 30 for the 2025 G7 Leaders香蕉视频直播� Summit in support of the RCMP-led Integrated Safety and Security Group.
To reduce traffic disruptions, military vehicle activity will happen during the evening.
"We ask all motorists to be careful around these vehicles and to pass with caution. For operational security reasons, the the Integrated Safety and Security Group and Canadian Armed Forces will not be confirming specific equipment or the number of vehicles involved in these road moves," said a statement from the Integrated Safety and Security Group.
In addition to the military vehicle activity, the Canadian Armed Force香蕉视频直播檚 presence will increase in the Kananaskis region in the lead up to the G7 Summit. Before and during the G7, the public may see members of the military working alongside members of the RCMP conducting operations at various locations in the area.
The armed forces will be enhancing and complementing the safety and security efforts by providing planning support, air mobility support, rural terrain surveillance, chemical biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive response, as well as aerospace defence for the summit.
The Integrated Safety and Security Group includes the Calgary Police Service, the Alberta Sheriffs香蕉视频直播� Branch, Alberta Conservation Officers and the Canadian Armed Forces.
