A Revelstoke band has added new flavour to the community in a locally filmed, food-fight-filled music video released last weekend.

Pickle Juice, a local rock band formed in 2023 and known for performances at Traverse and the Last Drop, unveiled its fourth music video on Saturday, May 31, for their debut, five-track album that hit streaming platforms in February.

Based around the fourth song from Cheeky EP With The Boys, the video for I Don't Like You opens with band members in the heart of a Revelstoke winter using a futuristic tool Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥” made from a paper towel roll Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥” to identify what music people are listening to behind their AirPods or headsets.

After finding one person in the playground by Old School Eatery listening to country, the band is pleasantly surprised to discover a much older lady enjoying one of their songs Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥” before using her cup of water to drench the face of an unsuspecting woman.

Throughout the video, in line with the namesake "I don't like you" theme, Revelstokians have fun harmlessly inconveniencing one another's day. Wives spill husbands' coffee, strangers blast smokers with Nerf darts, and seniors use walking poles to knock shoppers down like bowling pins.

Between colourful action shots of Pickle Juice playing at Traverse or the Last Drop, the dystopian climax comes as a couple visits Nico's Pizzeria and interrupts a group's lunch to shove freshly-served pies in their face. Pretty soon, hot dogs, chips and orange soda are thrown into the restaurant food fight as well, as one poor pied-out fellow gets revived by the scent of a pickle.

The short film's release follows an exciting winter for Pickle Juice, where the skier-rockers spent all March touring their EP tracks everywhere from Squamish and Penticton, to Fernie and Canmore, Alta.

Since August 2024, Pickle Juice has released music videos to three of their other EP tracks: Toxic and Sweet, Caught in a Lie, and Curbstomp.
