A wildfire discovered just after 12 p.m. near Naramata is now under control.
BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) says the Arawana Creek wildfire is 0.16 hectares in size. The blaze was considered "held," meaning it was projected to remain within its control line, by 12:50 p.m.
Nine BCWS crew members and two helicopters, as well as the Naramata Volunteer Fire Department, are on scene just east of Naramata Creek and Arawana Forest Service Road.
The fire is suspected to be human-caused, BCWS said.

A wildfire that sparked on Thursday near Naramata is now being held.
The blaze is mapped at 0.3 hectares and located just east of Naramata Creek and Arawana Forest Service Road, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).
BCWS crews and helicopters are on scene, joined by members of the Naramata Volunteer Fire Department.
A wildfire being held is expected to remain within its current perimeter or control line.

BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) says it is responding to an out-of-control blaze near Naramata on Thursday afternoon (July 24).
Two initial attack crews and a pair of helicopters are currently assigned to fight the Arawana Creek wildfire, which is 0.009 hectares in size. Its cause is under investigation, BCWS said at 12:20 p.m.
The fire is located just east of Naramata Creek and Arawana Forest Service Road.
