A Penticton artist has a painting with a Canadian sovereignty theme.
Jan Crawford香蕉视频直播檚 painting, Preserving the Canadian Maple, features maple leaves in a canning jar.
She said the painting is part of a new series on preserving Canada香蕉视频直播檚 identity.

Crawford, who has been painting for the past three decades, said the leaves in the jar represent Canada's identity with diversity. A single red maple leaf emerging at the top of the jar is the focal point of the painting, she said.

The 2018 painting, in acrylic, measures 71 by 97 centimetres.
Crawford is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Her works have been exhibited at Canada House Gallery and Hambleton Galleries.
