Vancouver breaker Philip Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥˜WizardÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™ Kim has won the first-ever gold medal for breaking in the Olympics.
Kim, also known as B-Boy Phil Wizard, took home the gold medal after battling FranceÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™s Danis Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥˜Dany DannÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™ Civil in the final at the Paris Games on Saturday (Aug. 10). He won all three rounds.
Kim also beat Civil 2-0 in their first bout of the group stage.
The 27-year-old beat out JapanÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™s Shigeyuki Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥˜ShigekixÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™ Nakarai in the semifinals, scoring 3-0.
Victor Montalvo, of the United States, took home bronze.
Breaking, or break dancing, debuted at the 2024 Summer Games. However, itÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™s not on the list of events for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
