Big West Wrestling (BWW) made its 2024 B.C. debut with an electric show at the Enderby Drill Hall on Saturday, Jan. 6.
Four thrilling matches awaited fans, including a new number one contender for the Big West Internet Title.
In the opening contest, Becky Beech (with her manager Ramone Carlton), defeated the veteran Marty Sugar, who was accompanied by his long-time friend and Big West co-founder Chris Olson. It was also announced that Beech will be getting the next Internet Title shot in Enderby, on Feb. 17.

In tag team action, The Moral Panic (Ren Yoshino and Tommy Chan), defeated Real Talent (Rashad Tyson and Rex Rothschild), in what was billed as a Double-Double Dojo Debut. All four train out of the Lions Gate Dojo in Vancouver, and the crowd took to the thrilling action.
In the main event, two talented youngsters fought tooth and nail for the Big West Internet Title. Shawn (The Prodigy) Murphy barely retained his championship against Bryce (The Gambler) Lowe, in one of the more aggressive and athletic contests in BWW. The next major BWW event will take place in Falkland, for the first time since 2008, on Friday, Feb. 2.
The event will feature Murphy, who was trained by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Seth Rollins. Murphy was born in Ontario, but now lives down on the Lower Mainland. Having only debuted last year, Murphy has taken the B.C. wrestling scene by storm, and has a very bright future ahead of him.
The show also features The Nolerbear, who is the reigning Totally Arctic Wrestling (TAW) North of 60 Champion. Based out of Inuvik, Northwest Territories, TAW is the most-northern wrestling promotion in the entire world, and its core wrestlers are all proud Indigenous competitors.
