Kelowna Raiders tear apart Armstrong Shamrocks, 18-3

Armstrong Shamrocks goalie Connor Senn and player Reed Cashato were overwhelmed on Sunday, as the Kelowna Raiders ran away with an 18-3 victory in TOSLL action.

The Kelowna Raiders showcased why they have been the class of the Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League (TOSLL), by destroying the Armstrong Shamrocks 18-3.

The teams competed on Sunday, June 1 in Kelowna, and the Raiders dominated, with a second-period explosion of seven goals to put the game away. 

Kelowna scored three in the first, seven in the second and eight in the third, while the Shamrocks mustered up a goal in each period.  

Andrew Garant led the way for the Raiders, with five assists and three goals. Justin Charlton also contributed with four goals and three assists. The Shamrocks got goals from Steve Clark and two from Kyle Versteeg.

With the win, Kelowna sits atop the TOSLL standings with a 5-1 record. Armstrong is second, 4-2 on the year. The Kamloops Rattlers are third, with a 2-3 record, while the Vernon Tigers hold up the rear, still winless in five games. 

Next up for the Shamrocks is another date with the Raiders, this time at home at the Sunbelt Arena on Friday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m.
