Nonetheless, Diane Anderson from the Penticton Golf and Country Club qualified for a pair of provincial golf tourneys at the Zone 2 Womens and Senior Women's Championships hosted by the Vernon Golf and Country Club Sunday and Monday, May 25 and 26.

Anderson earned one of two qualifying spots for the zone to the 120th B.C. Women's Amateur Championship June 23-26 at the Victoria Golf Club, where she'll be joined on the Zone 2 team by Suymone Ripley of Gallagher's Canyon in Kelowna.

The duo were beaten in the 36-hole women's amateur low gross by Vernon Golf and Country Club junior Ellie Johnson.

Anderson and Vernon's Claire Mitton from the Vernon Golf and Country Club grabbed the two available zone spots to the B.C. Senior Women's Championship June 9-12 at the Whistler Golf Club. The overall senior low gross was won by Bev Kellerman from Vernon's Predator Ridge Women's League, but she is unable to attend the provincials.

Super Seniors (70 and over) Marion Radcliffe of Sunset Ranch in Kelowna, and Suzanne Murray of the Predator Ridge Women's League, each pocketed three honours. Radcliffe won the Amateur and Senior Flights' overall low net, with Murray as runner-up in both cases. Madcliffe had the low gross among the Super Seniors, and Murray won the low net.
