Revelstoke Cricket Club poses in the sun at its first home fixture of the 2025 Interior Social Tournament at Centennial Park on Sunday, May 25.

Revelstoke Cricket Club won the weekend by three runs at home against Vernon on June 8, securing its second win of the 2025 Interior Social Tournament thanks to two brothers' excellence in batting and bowling.

Twins Jagg and Navdeep Samra of Revelstoke each found their stride on the pitch against the Vernon Cricket Club, which arrived to Centennial Park on Sunday with two wins out of five matches this season.

The three-hour fixture, where the visiting club was ultimately bowled out at 169 in under 38 overs, kicked off with some early excitement as Vernon's Vishab Sehgal scored 10 runs in the second over.

Navdeep's bowling in the 10th left Vernon's batter with just one run, though Sehgal managed to record eight runs against his bowls in the 12th.

In an impressive streak of success, Navdeep continued keeping Vernon's runs to a minimum in the 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th and 22nd overs.

Revelstoke's Jaijeet Singh Sembhi joined in to halt Vernon's Ankit Kumar at bat in the 21st, followed by Jagg stepping up to bowl in the 25th for a total shutout against Vernon's batter.

Amandeep Singh persevered against Jagg's bowling in the 31st with nine runs, but was out in the next over when Revelstoke's Fin Pringle-Booth caught his ball.

In the 36th, Revelstoke's Mayank Nischal inflicted a double whammy on Vernon by bowling out two different batters.

Sembhi only allowed a single run in the 37th as Vernon's Harwinder Jawandha and Sukhraj Sandhu took bat.

Shortly after, Revelstoke took its victory for the week as Jawandha was caught out on a bowl by Nagender Kanwar, who'd opened Sunday's bowling with a strong first and third over.

Navdeep earned recognition as player of the match, in the second fixture so far this year that a Revelstoke player has received the accolade. He was also crowned best bowler of the game, while brother Jagg earned best batter.

Next up, Revelstoke hosts Nelson Cricket Club for a friendly match Sunday, June 15, at Centennial Park, followed by its next tournament fixture at the park Sunday, June 22, against Okanagan Valley Cricket Club.
