Vernon's Kokanee Swim Club (VKSC) swam into rival territory in Kelowna, and came away with 12 medals and 171 best times.
The VKSC was competing against 16 other teams from across B.C. and Alberta at the Kelowna AquaJets Persist Oil and Gas Invitational from May 9-11.
Kubrick Reed picked up a gold medal in the 200 metre breaststroke, silver in the 50 m breaststroke and 200 m butterfly, while also collecting a bronze in the 50 m butterfly.
Gwen Goldie won bronze in the 200 m butterfly and Alex Puchkov nabbed a silver in the 200 m breaststroke, and bronzes in the 50 and 100 m breaststroke.
Kaeden Uesson went home with four medals: gold in the 200 m backstroke, and silver in the 100 m backstroke and 100, 200 m butterfly.
A new long-course club record was set by Reed in the 50 m breaststroke with a time of 31.37 seconds.
Three other swimmers punched their tickets to the divisional qualifier event in June with impressive performances. Rowan Brett will be advancing in the 50 and 200 m butterfly, Al Chen in the 50 m freestyle and Kathryn Reynolds in the 50 m breaststroke.
The VKSC has two upcoming meets, in Kamloops at the KCS June Classic (June 13-15) and the B.C. Summer Divisionals in Kelowna (June 27-29).
