The 10th annual Kettle Mettle Gravel Fondo returns to the Okanagan on Jun 28.

Registration is now open for the second race of the Triple Crown Gravel Fondo Series.

The 10th annual Kettle Mettle Gravel Fondo returns to the Okanagan on Jun 28 for another challenging ride showcasing the historic nature of the Kettle Valley Trail. The panoramic views of lakes and valleys will be front and centre for Western Canada's oldest Gravel Fondo, providing a scenic view of trestles, wildflower-coated canyons and shaded railway tunnels throughout the climb and descent.

There will be a 25-kilometre event for beginners, a Medio Fondo, approximately 50 kilometres for beginner or recreational cyclists, and a Full Fondo, approximately 100 kilometres, for intermediate to advanced-level cyclists. The race will start and finish at the Princeton Exhibition Grounds.

Male and female will be the two main categories, with several participant categories as well, such as individual, teams of two and teams of four, both of which are based on the combined times of all riders.

All participants will receive souvenir socks, a light meal and cold beer or non-alcoholic beverage at the finish, a souvenir event photo, results with a time and draw prizes. There will also be limited event support on the course for mechanical issues or a flat tire, and three aid stations as well.

Spectator food will also be available.

The Triple Crown of Gravel includes the Sea2Sky and Cowichan Crusher.
