One of the last big events of Kelowna Pride Month, the 2nd annual Two Spirit Powwow took place at Kelowna's City Park on Saturday, June 28.
The event celebrating Indigenous identity, culture, and community took place the park, as the vendors and people in attendance created a dance circle for performances to take place in the middle.
Throughout the day, many performances and speeches were given to honour the past, present, and future of Two Spirit people in the Okanagan.
After more than 600 people attended the inaugural event in 2024, the organizers, Syilx Indigiqueer Council, with support from the Kelowna Pride Society knew they had to make the event happen again.
Kelowna Pride Month concludes on June 30.
