The Kin Club of Armstrong has a desire to help selected post-secondary school students.
The club has three bursaries totalling $10,000 available Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥“ that includes a pair of $2,500 trade bursaries, and one $5,000 bursary for a second-, third-, or fourth-year university student.
Criteria that is the same for both applications are demonstrating community involvement and leadership, and being available to present to the Kin Club as part of the selection process.
Application deadline for the trio of bursaries is Aug. 1.
Those looking at the trades bursaries must be pursuing post-secondary education or certification in a skilled trade such as electrician, plumber, welder, HVAC, automotive technician, etc.
There are seven application requirements including information, extracurricular activities, post-secondary plans, awards and honour, letter of recommendation, personal statement (between 500-750 words), and the presentation to the club.
Students wishing to apply for the university bursary must be pursuing a non-trades field of study. The same application requirements for the trades bursaries apply to the university application.
