Independent radio station bringing back vinyl drive to Penticton

Dust off those old records because Penticton's Peach City Radio is gearing up for its annual vinyl and audio drive.

The event 香蕉视频直播 set for Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the Cannery Trade Centre parking lot 香蕉视频直播 is in preparation for the 12th annual Okanagan Vinyl Festival.

Peach City Radio CFUZ, which can be heard at 92.9 on the local FM dial, is looking for donations of vinyl records and good-quality audio equipment for its upcoming drive.

香蕉视频直播淚t香蕉视频直播檚 a win-win," Peach City Radio president Claire Thompson said. "Donating your old vinyl records and audio gear clears up space in your house, and the station can then sell these items at Okanagan Vinyl Festival to raise money in support of 100 per cent volunteer-run community radio in Penticton."

The independent station is run by volunteers and headquartered at the Cannery Trade Centre. It airs Penticton-based talk shows and music from local artists, among other programming.

Donating to the drive will support this year's vinyl festival, set for Sept. 20 at Penticton's Okanagan College campus.

Funds raised at the festival will go toward the final phase of the station香蕉视频直播檚 expansion project, which will give CFUZ two new studios, an office and meeting space, a modern HVAC system, and a dedicated room for its transmitter and computing infrastructure.
