Vibing with the younger generation, the Shuswap Emergency Program (SEP) recently started an Instagram account that totally slays.

Woke to the fact that Facebook is now "cringe," the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) got SEP onto Insta as a way to get important emergency information to Millenials and Gen Z. Somewhat ironically, the CSRD announced its new social media platform in a post on old school Facebook, encouraging adults to get the younger ones connected to the page.

"We know the younger generation doesnÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™t think Facebook is hip. But we also know that being informed in an emergency is crucial," the post states. "ThatÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s why weÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ve added a new Shuswap Emergency Program Instagram account. Get the important young people in your life to follow us on Insta. Nag them, if you have toÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥¦ Then theyÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ll get the information they need to stay safe."
