This week's Wednesday on the Wharf concert promises an afternoon of dynamic, daring, and downright unforgettable music.
At 6: 45 p.m. on July 16, Marine Peace Park will come alive with the toe-tapping, easy-dancing, rockabilly-edged sound of roots-rock band The Promised, as part of the Wednesday on the Wharf (WOW) summer concert series.
"With tight harmonies, emotionally charged lyrics, and a sound that blends roots and rockabilly, The Promised takes listeners on an unforgettable journey of joy, sorrow, and everything in between," reads a media release from WOW. "Their music doesnÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™t just tell a story Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥“ it pulls audiences in and makes them feel every word."
Best known for their recurring performances on NetflixÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™s hit show Virgin River, the band has brought their raw energy and heartfelt sound to millions of fans worldwide.
With Noelle Burch on vocals and kazoo, Jesse Burch on vocals and guitar, and Casey Shalala on upright bass, audiences are sure to experience a unique sound that strikes a chord in their hearts and makes them move.
WOW concertgoers are encouraged to enjoy the evening sunshine and live music in community by bringing a lawn chair or blanket, and a donation to support the concert series.
