A nearby football field-size fire was under control by crews later in the week, this time suspected as lightning-caused. By Saturday, June 14, it had more than doubled in size.

Lake Revelstoke (Wednesday, June 11)

A small fire 25 kilometres north of Revelstoke near the Jordan River grew to the size of several football fields as crews worked to fully douse the burn after a few days. A suspected cause of the fire was not shared by BCWS.
