The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is asking residents to help shape the future of farming in the region by sharing their thoughts on the updated Regional Agricultural Strategy.

From now until June 27, residents can complete a short online survey on the . As a bonus, participants will be entered into a draw to win one of two $100 grocery store gift cards.
The draft strategy outlines more than 60 proposed actions, all aimed at helping agriculture thrive into the future:
- Increase water security for the agri-food industry;
- Preserve and protect the agricultural land base;
- Prepare for emergencies with agriculture in mind;
- Tackle soil removal and deposit challenges;
- Attract farm labour and support housing for temporary workers;
- Educate and communicate about local agriculture and food systems;
- Support economic development in the agricultural sector;
- Once the survey closes, public feedback will be used to fine-tune the strategy before it goes to the RDCO Board for final approval later this fall.
