Police arrest suspect linked to February fires at Kelowna businesses

Kelowna RCMP have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with two suspicious fires in the city last month.

The suspect was initially apprehended on unrelated charges, but remains in custody as the investigation continue.

On Feb. 16, between 4 and 4:30 a.m., RCMP responded to two large fires near the intersection of Springfield Road and Dayton Street. The blazes, which caused significant damage to two businesses, were deemed suspicious.

Police worked closely with community partners and local businesses to identify a potential suspect.

香蕉视频直播淎 great deal of work went into this investigation, with extensive utilization of CCTV footage throughout the neighbourhood, enabling investigators to link key pieces of evidence,香蕉视频直播 said Sgt. Scott Powrie. 

He also thanked neighbouring businesses that shared surveillance video which helped identify the suspect.
