A new 30 km/h speed limit along a stretch of Gellatly Road is now in effect.
New speed limit signs have been installed between Boucherie Rd. and Gellatly Rd. South, and the change is now enforceable by the RCMP.
Previous yellow 30 km/h signs along the road were not enforceable.

The reduced speed limit was approved by council at its July 8 meeting and lowers the previous 50 km/h limit to 30 km/h.
The corridor includes vehicle traffic, cyclists, and pedestrians, and is especially busy during the summer.
