Three of Penticton's elected officials were among the more than 2,000 people to attend a municipal government conference in Ottawa earlier this month.
Mayor Julius Bloomfield and Couns. Ryan Graham and Jason Reynen were at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) conference from May 29 to June 1. Two other city staffers joined them on the trip.
The cost of the trip for all participants, including tax, was $29,000, according to the city.
Local officials got to meet with Similkameen香蕉视频直播擲outh Okanagan香蕉视频直播擶est Kootenay MP Helena Konanz, who recently vacated her seat on Penticton City Council to serve in Ottawa.
According to a city release, conversations with Konanz related to federal supports needed locally.
Penticton's delegation also had "informal engagements" with Attorney General Sean Fraser and Housing Minister Gregor Robertson.

The FCM featured keynote addresses from Prime Minister Mark Carney and other federal party representatives.
Along with participating in sessions on homelessness, government efficiency and infrastructure funding, Penticton's delegation also received a tour of Parliament and attended Question Period in the House of Commons.
