The Town of Princeton will cover half of the project costs, to a maximum of $5,000, for a business facade improvement project on Vermillion Avenue.
At the council meeting on Aug. 6, council voted to enter into the agreement for 219 Vermillion Ave.
The total eligible project cost is $7,000, and the funding requested is $3,500.
The work includes changing the colour of the building exterior to light, warm grey, with trim in matte dark grey, along with repairing and staining the shingles.
This is the third facade improvement project approved by the Princeton council this summer.
Princeton has a downtown beautification and facade program in place. According to the town, the purpose is to create an attractive and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. This program is open to existing commercial buildings in the town centre and highway corridor.
