Polson Park naturalization celebrated with music, games and more Friday, July 18

It's a Party for the Park!

The City of Vernon is celebrating Phase 2 of the Polson Park Vernon Creek Naturalization Project Friday, July 18 from 3:30 to 8 p.m.

The event begins with remarks from city officials and project partners, highlighting the benefits of the naturalization work.

"This important work is focused on improving the ecological health and long-term sustainability of Vernon Creek and the surrounding areas," the city said.

A diverse mix of local talent from indie surf rock, acoustic-pop, and some laid-back country tunes take place with the following lineup:

  •  Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥“ 4:30 p.m.
  •  Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥“ 5:05 p.m.
  •  Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥“ 5:45 p.m.
  •  Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥“ 7 p.m.

Evan the Juggler will also perform on stage and host interactive sessions to teach kids how to juggle.

YouÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™ll also find face painters and a caricature artist, and two bouncy castles to keep the fun going all evening.

"WeÏã½¶ÊÓÆµÖ±²¥™re hosting this in conjunction with the Polson Artisan Night Market, featuring a diverse selection of local vendors, artists, and makers offering handmade goods, treats, and treasures."

Free event parking is available within a short walking distance to the event grounds. Guests are asked to prioritize parking in the Polson lot and Science Centre lot, with additional parking at the Wholesale Club lot and the McMurray Group lot across from the A&W.
