It's a summer staple in Armstrong.
Music in the Park returns for another memorable 10-week run starting Friday, June 20.
Free concerts featuring local and area bands are held at Memorial Park from 7-9 p.m. at the park's gazebo.
"Well maintained by the Armstrong Spallumcheen Parks and Recreation, Memorial Park is one of Armstrong香蕉视频直播檚 most scenic spots with a swimming pool, children香蕉视频直播檚 water park, playground, exercise equipment and lots of shade for people to come and relax all summer long," said the Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce, the hosts of Music in the Park. "So bring a blanket, chairs, snacks and beverages 香蕉视频直播� even your dinner or support the food truck on location.
"Relax, enjoy the fresh air and time spent with family and friends."
Those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to support the local Food Bank.
Music in the Park rolls into its 10-week schedule Friday, June 20, with Rollin' Coal, a trio that has played more than 200 shows throughout the Okanagan Valley. They're a group that gets audiences tapping their toes and singing along.
The Dirt Road Kings will play the final show Friday, Aug. 22.
Food trucks will be available at each concert. Trucks lined up for 2025 include Gord Oh香蕉视频直播檚, Moose Caboose, Udderly Ice Cream, Si Si Gluten Italian, D Dutchmen Dairy, Yukon Smash, Armstrong Lions Club, Rusty Cow;T香蕉视频直播檚ilqot香蕉视频直播檔 BBQ, and Kamui Curry.
The event is made possible by sponsors such as Armstrong Kin Club, Askew's Foods, Drax, and Hytec - a Kohler Company.
Performing Friday, June 27, will be the Rule 857 Band, a group that covers some of the greatest tunes from the '60s to the '80s.
The lineup for July includes:
July 4 - Cadillac Jack and the Blue Tones 香蕉视频直播� group that plays select tunes from classic rock, blues and country genres.
July 11 - Anita and the Shades 香蕉视频直播� Formerly known as Six Shades of Grey, group added vocalist Anita Baturin in 2023; set list reflects the group members' involvement in bands over the years, playing hits from the '50s up to the present, with a variety of genres from country and blues to classic rock and contemporary.
July 18 - The Barn Boys 香蕉视频直播� five-piece classic rock band; their unique brand of entertainment fuses hard-hitting grooves and ripping guitars with audience participating and witty stage banter.
July 25 - Hat Trick Band 香蕉视频直播� play covers of retro oldie dance hits from the '60s to 8'0s, with a selection of rock, rock 香蕉视频直播榥香蕉视频直播� roll, country, southern rock, blues, and folk. The group enjoys up-beat tunes ranging from CCR to the Rolling Stones, Elvis to Chuck Berry, Dwight Yoakam to Darius Rucker, and much more.
