Salmon Arm香蕉视频直播檚 summer outdoor concert series Wednesday on the Wharf (WOW) returns in July with a musical menu featuring sounds from around the world.
Announced by the Salmon Arm Arts Centre, this year香蕉视频直播檚 Wednesday evening performances at Marine Peace Park kick off with a Klick. Kelowna/Nashville country music storyteller Ben Klick opens the concert series on July 3. Next up is Penticton-born indie folk-rock artist Francis Baptiste on July 10; glittering soft-rock band Kayla Williams and the Yacht Daddies on July 17; the rock-world-latin-fusion sounds of ROOTSandBLUES festival artists BuenRostro will enliven the stage on July 24; and Tk香蕉视频直播檈ml煤ps te Secw茅pemc香蕉视频直播檚 own Jeremy Kneeshaw and the JK Band will bring their beach-blues on July 31.
High energy and joyful dancing will be the name of the game on Aug. 7 when Vancouver香蕉视频直播檚 En Karma bring their Bhangra beats and Bollywood moves to the Marine Park gazebo stage. Vancouver香蕉视频直播檚 Dawn Pemberton will electrify the park with R&B, soul and funk on Aug. 14; followed by Kelowna香蕉视频直播檚 dreamy folk-noir duo Josh & Bex on Aug. 21.
Indigenous singer-songwriter Hayley Wallis will close out the summer concert series with soulful pop, jazz and R&B on Aug. 28. As part of this final concert, the Salmon Arm Arts Centre is very excited to be collaborating with Secw茅pemc friends to host a mini powwow. This special celebration starts at 4 p.m. and people are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the dancing, drumming, singing and regalia. Everyone is welcome!
As always, audiences can bring their lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to the park, and know there will be plenty of room for dancing. Donations will be collected at intermission to support the concert series, which would not be possible without the support of WOW香蕉视频直播檚 sponsors.
