Evacuation alerts remain for Peachland wildfire

The Drought Hill wildfire in Peachland

Firefighters continue to fight the Drought Hill wildfire in Peachland that sparked July 30. 

BC Wildfire Service said the fire is displaying rank one behaviour the morning of Aug. 3, meaning a smouldering ground fire. 

The fire reached 57 hectares before being reclassified as being held. 

As of the morning of Aug. 1 all evacuation orders were lifted. A handful of properties remain on evacuation alert.
