A new wildfire has sparked in the Shuswap, north of Sicamous and south of Seymour Arm.
The fire is currently 0.009 hectares in size but is classified as out of control, meaning it is expected to spread beyond its current perimeter.
Discovered Saturday afternoon, Aug. 2, the wildfire is located between two arms of Shuswap Lake.
Lightning is the suspected cause of the blaze.
There are currently no area restrictions, evacuation orders or alerts associated with this fire, according to BC Wildfire Service.
