Peachland grateful for firefighters, first responders, volunteers

The District of Peachland has expressed its gratitude to all those who supported the community through the Drought Hill wildfire.

A post on the district香蕉视频直播檚 Facebook page singled out firefighters and emergency personnel.

The post also thanked volunteers who gave their time to assist by supporting emergency operations and helping neighbours and evacuees.

The Drought Hill wildfire sparked on July 30 and forced the evacuation of 400 properties, put more than 200 others on alert, and shut down Highway 97 and sections of Highway 97C for more than six hours.

The fire, as of Aug. 4, is under control and contained to 57 hectares.
