Former West Kelowna Warrior signs entry-level deal with Seattle Kraken

Tyson Jugnauth is continuing to climb up the hockey ladder.

On Tuesday, May 27, the former West Kelowna Warrior officially signed his NHL entry-level contract with the Seattle Kraken, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

The defenceman played 70 games for the Warriors from 2019-22, scoring 11 goals and adding 51 assists. 

After he was drafted, he went on to play parts of two seasons at the University of Wisconsin, finishing with 17 points in 45 games. After 13 games as a Badger in the 2023-24 season, he came back to the West Coast and joined the Portland Winterhawks.

He recorded massive numbers from the blue line in 2024-25, scoring 13 goals and collected 76 assists, totalling 89 points in 65 games for Portland. 

Jugnauth's contract is a three-year deal worth $950,000 per season.
