Carson Wetsch makes an impact on and off the ice.

On Tuesday, June 10, the newest Kelowna Rocket was recognized for his commitment to helping others by receiving the Dayna Brons Honorary Award.

The honour is given out by Hockey Gives Blood to the "player who exhibits outstanding dedication to patients who rely on blood and stem cell products in Canada."

Wetsch, 19, has been a Hockey Gives Blood ambassador since 2023 and hosted many community blood drives during his time with the Calgary Hitmen. He has donated himself and has joined the Canadian Blood Services stem cell registry while encouraging others to do the same.

He is also a San Jose Sharks prospect after being selected in the third round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
